Currently, with more than 35 per cent of Raytheon Australia's workforce made up of former ADF members, the company implements a number of different initiatives to support the transition of service personnel into a post-defence career, including:

• Veteran Career Translator: The translator is an online tool that allows serving and ex-serving military personnel to input their skills and service information to identify how that experience might translate across to a career in the private sector.
• Recruitment and veteran liaison officer: To ensure a seamless transition, recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of former service personnel, Raytheon has ensured that a number of the company's senior talent acquisition and management roles are filled by ex-ADF personnel. This role is dedicated to supporting ex-serving men and women and their spouses/partners to gain employment and transition successfully into the company.

"It is for this reason that we have initiated a number of partnerships that support veterans whilst also creating and implementing new policies designed specifically for our veteran employees, families of veterans and defence reservists," Ward said.

Raytheon Australia is an official partner of Soldier On and supports the work it carries out in the veteran community. Raytheon Australia is also a supporter of the Soldier On employment pledge, which guarantees all veterans and their partners/spouses an interview for any role for which they meet the selection criteria.
