L3Harris wins Raytheon supplier award

L3Harris Technologies has announced it has received an EPIC Supplier Excellence Award from Raytheon.

L3Harris Technologies has announced it has received an EPIC Supplier Excellence Award from Raytheon.

The award is recognition for L3Harris Technologies in overall excellence in performance, innovation, and collaboration for one or more Raytheon businesses.

The award is given to Raytheon’s highest performing suppliers, and L3 Harris’ Micreo operation, which is based in Brisbane, has been providing specialised radio frequency (RF) processing subassemblies for integration into Raytheon’s Radar Warning Receivers (RWRs).

Since 2007, Micreo has been providing these units for Raytheon, and in the 12 years from then has designed three RF subassemblies specifically for Raytheon’s specifications, leading to the manufacture of over 3,000 units, which have been integrated into several military aircraft across the globe, including the F/A-18.

“For the greatest production efficiency, L3Harris uses its business operating system called e3 (excellence, everywhere, every day) to deliver excellence, innovation, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, including Lean Six Sigma processes,” a release from L3Harris said.

“The L3Harris engineering and manufacturing facility in Brisbane is AS9100D accredited with no exclusions, providing Raytheon and its customers with the assurance of high-quality, high-reliability, aerospace-grade equipment.”
