Nova Systems Australia general manager named to DTC board

Lee Kormany, Nova Systems’ general manager of maritime, land and future systems, has been elected to the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) board of directors.

Lee Kormany, Nova Systems’ general manager of maritime, land and future systems, has been elected to the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) board of directors.

Kormany served in the Royal Australian Navy for 21 years before joining Nova in 2015, and in 2019 she was appointed to the role of GM.

Nova said that "as a senior leader in Nova Systems, Kormany is well placed to understand the challenges face by Australian businesses".

“I am thankful for the opportunity to support the Defence Teaming Centre and I am committed to achieving their mission of connecting, developing and advocating for defence industry, Kormany said.

“Small to medium enterprises are critical to solving complex problems of national interest and building an enduring Australian based defence industry.

It is important Australian businesses can see the part they can play in delivering sovereign capability and creating a vibrant industry.”

As Nova System’s representative, Kormany was also presented with a certificate of recognition for Nova’s long-term support of DTC over the past 10 years.

“We [Nova Systems] have always shared DTCs commitment to growing the capability and capacity in the sector, especially in engaging and promoting small to medium enterprises,” Kormany said.

We thank DTC for their recognition and look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship and the industry.”

Kormany has held several management positions, ranging from engineering management roles through to her current role as GM, and for nine years co-owned and was the director of a small business in Victoria.
