As such, the companies have established Airbus-led ‘Team ICELUS’, which is expected to bring together a collective of strategic partners with the capability to support the program.

ICELUS aims to leverage a coherent systems integration approach to deliver operational effectiveness and information advantage to the end user, while also sustaining a UK-centric defence industrial base.

The team is ultimately expected to submit proposals that can best support the objectives of the program.

Team ICELUS aims to focus on LE TacCIS System Integrator (SI), in an effort to lead on the design and integration of the products and services for applications, infrastructures and networks.

The LE TacCIS SI is expected to be contracted by 2023-24.

The program, which consists of multiple sub-programs and projects, is designed to operate resiliently and securely in a contested cyber battlespace, providing essential command and control (C2) services and capabilities.

LE TacCIS is to be integrated with other systems to facilitate quick and easy sharing of information between platforms and weapon systems.
