Prime Minister Scott Morrison has appointed a new Minister for Defence, replacing Senator Linda Reynolds.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has appointed former home affairs minister Peter Dutton as the new Minister for Defence at a press conference today.
The recent announcement comes following senator Linda Reynolds' leave of absence regarding health issues, during which time Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women Marise Payne served as acting Defence Minister.
Karen Andrews will now serve as the Minister for Home Affairs, and senator Reynolds will serve as Minister for Government Services and NDIS.
More to come.
