A US-based UAC services provider has ordered the ASX-listed company’s drone connectivity solution.
Elsight has received and delivered an order for its ‘Halo’ offering under a new collaboration partnership with DroneUp.
The Halo offering is expected to support DroneUp’s initial fleet of parcel delivery drones by leveraging a connectivity solution for command-and-control redundancy certification, critical and secure data transmission, and uninterrupted connectivity.
DroneUp has harnessed Elsight’s Halo technology to complete the end-to-end link between the drone with communication technologies, DroneUp field drone hub and DroneUp control-centre.
This collaboration follows retail giant Walmart’s investment in DroneUp, with the companies jointly announcing their first Multi-Site Commercial Drone Parcel Delivery Operations, and launching drone delivery orders website ‘Delivery on the Fly’.
John Vernon, DroneUp’s chief technology officer, also recently joined the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Aviation Rule Making Committee (ARC) to participate in the development of beyond line-of-sight drone flights.
Elsight CEO Yoav Amitai noted the significance of the ASX-listed company’s collaboration with DroneUp.
“This order from DroneUp affirms the validity of our design-win strategy within the drone industry,” Amitai said.
“We are delighted that DroneUp has chosen us to leverage our Halo bonded connectivity solution to ensure absolute connection confidence to their drones for commercial deliveries.
