Established in 2002 in Perth, Premiair now has a national presence with additional service locations in Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Premiair’s footprint spans major markets in Australia and will allow Textron Aviation customers close access to industry-leading aircraft maintenance and support, including avionics services and upgrades, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, structural and component repair and overhaul, and refurbishment.
The program of works includes maintenance and sustainment operations for Cessna Citation, Cessna Caravan, Beechcraft King Air, Cessna and Beechcraft piston and Hawker aircraft through multiple Premiair locations throughout Australia.
Kriya Shortt, Textron Aviation senior vice president, customer service, welcomed the announcement, saying, "Textron Aviation has long been a part of the vibrant Australian aviation community and this appointment helps ensure our customers have easy access to expert, factory authorised service for any requirement.
"In addition to its stellar reputation for superb maintenance repair and overhaul skills, Premiair Aviation’s foundation of excellent customer care and service fits well with the culture and values espoused by Textron Aviation."
Textron Aviation offers factory-direct service and support throughout its entire ownership experience. Through a global network staffed with more than 3,000 employees, customers have direct access to a team of service representatives offering maintenance, inspections, parts, repairs, avionic upgrades, equipment installations, refurbishments and other specialised services.
Paul Montauban, Premiair Aviation managing director, said, "Relationships, customer care and satisfaction come first at Premiair Aviation. The entire Premiair team is excited to welcome the full family of Cessna and Beechcraft products, and their passionate owners, into our facilities to show them our commitment to quality and excellence in aircraft support."
Premiair Aviation Maintenance began operations from Jandakot Airport in Western Australia in November 2002 and has since expanded to four service centres across Australia.
Textron Aviation is home to the Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker brands, which account for more than half of all general aviation aircraft flying. In September 2005, Premiair was approached by Pilatus Australia to establish a “satellite service centre network” throughout Australia and provide a superior level of service to PC-12 operators.
Premiair was required to comply with strict Pilatus policies and procedures to ensure the Pilatus aircraft was maintained to Pilatus factory standards and their unblemished reputation maintained. In June 2006, this agreement was signed and Premiair commenced supporting the PC-12 aircraft in Australia.
