RUAG Australia has been selected to support the Defence Industry Secondment Program, the company confirmed today.

RUAG Australia received confirmation that they have been selected to host a defence employee as part of the Defence Industry Secondment Program.

The program, which was launched this week by Defence Industry Minister Melissa Price, seeks to broaden the expertise of Defence members and further relationships between Defence and defence industry.

RUAG Australia supplies the Royal Australian Air Force with maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and manufacturing services.

Terry Miles, general manager of RUAG Australia, welcomed the opportunity to upskill members of the Australian Defence Force.

“We are proud to have been selected to participate in this newly launched program and fully support the development of skilled Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and Defence Australian Public Servants, resulting in a more adaptable defence industry,” Miles said.

Stephan Jezler, senior vice president at Aviation International, noted that supporting defence is a key corporate social responsibility aspect of Aviation International’s work.

“RUAG’s commitment to Defence personnel and Australian defence is at the heart of our business and a key component of our corporate social responsibility program. On behalf of RUAG, thanks to ADF for developing a program enabling ADF and industry interaction,” Jezler said.
