The firm has supplied modelling software tools to the ADF’s Air Warfare School, designed to improve operational capability and enhance systems security.

Nova Systems subsidiary Geoplex partnered with Analytical Graphics Inc (AGI) to deliver sophisticated Systems Tool Kit (STK) physics modelling software tools to Australia’s Air Warfare School (AWS).

The software enables the AWS and the Royal Australian Air Force's Surveillance and Response Group No 41 Wing (41WG) to train their staff to model, simulate, and analyse mission planning to prepare for future air warfare or communications operations.

“This sophisticated capability provides our Australian defence personnel with the ability to model, simulate, test and analyse upcoming operations to ensure the user has the maximum chance of operational success and safety,” Nova Group CEO Jim McDowell said.

“As defence personnel acquire new skills and knowledge through the operation of these tools from AGI, we will create and deliver a tactical advantage for Australia, building on our sovereign smarts and capability.”

McDowell noted the benefits of investing in specialist software via Geoplex, which he said allows personnel to model multi-domain warfare scenarios, from satellite orbits to vehicle capability.

“This is the kind of technology that will ensure Australia continues to move forward with world-class knowledge, first-class capability and future growth within situational awareness domains,” he added.
