The US government has awarded a second delivery order worth $6.7 million to Avon Protection for their second-generation Advanced Combat Helmets.

The British manufacturer was selected for a previous contract in February 2022, prior to the most recent contract awarded by the US Defense Logistics Agency

Testing is still going ahead for manufacturing ramp-up plans with initial deliveries commencing in the financial year 2024, according to Avon Protection chief executive officer Jos Sclater.

“We’re delighted to continue protecting US military personnel with our advanced head protection solutions and look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership with this important customer,” said Sclater.

AP also supplies life-critical protection equipment such as full face respirators, ballistic helmets, escape hoods, self-contained breathing apparatus systems, modular powered air purifying respirator units, thermal imaging cameras and underwater equipment suitable for military, emergency services first responders and training operations.
