Anduril Industries has today revealed that its Menace family of computing and communications systems is now the preferred hardware platform for all forward-deployed Palantir Edge Software, marking a significant milestone in defence technology collaboration.

Modern battlefield operations demand software that can run on hardware tough enough to endure real-world conditions. With Palantir’s software stack now running natively on Menace systems, government operators will benefit from a software-defined solution engineered for rapid deployment, operational flexibility and seamless integration with existing defence infrastructure.

Key to this deployment is Anduril’s Menace-T, which will serve as the standardised infrastructure for on-premises and edge deployments across multiple programs. In addition, Anduril and Palantir are working jointly on a new Menace-I configuration tailored for Palantir Edge – enabling users to access advanced applications such as Gaia, Target Workbench, and Maverick, which enhance operator effectiveness and survivability in dynamic environments.

“To fight and win at the tactical edge, resilient and adaptable computing is essential,” a spokesperson from Anduril said. “The Menace family offers a rugged, scalable platform designed for austere, disconnected and contested conditions.”

When paired with Palantir Edge Software, the Menace systems integrate with Anduril’s Lattice Mesh networking technology, delivering a unified solution capable of operating with greater resilience, faster decision making and enhanced mobility – particularly where traditional server infrastructure is not viable.

Both companies continue to champion open standards and modular interoperability, ensuring integration with third-party sensors, systems and software – providing defence customers with the agility and control needed to tailor their mission stack to changing operational requirements.

The Menace family includes several form factors:

  • Menace-I: a rapidly deployable SCIF/SAPF-grade high-density compute platform.
  • Menace-X: an expeditionary system designed for on-the-move operations.
  • Menace-T: a newly released, human-portable roll-on/roll-off edge compute and communications unit.

Together, these platforms offer a modern, deployable hardware foundation for one of the most advanced mission software ecosystems available today – built to meet current tactical demands and ready to scale for future challenges.
