Invictus Australia has announced that expressions of interest are now open for the 2026 Adaptive Sports Program for former serving veterans.
The Adaptive Sports Program (ASP) is delivered by the Australian Defence Force in partnership with Invictus Australia.
The program is for current and former serving ADF personnel from the regular or reserve ADF who have become wounded, injured or ill during or as a direct consequence of their service.
Invictus Australia is responsible for the former serving contingent, and at this time, the EOI is open for former serving veterans. The ADF will confirm the process for current serving applications in the near future.
Attendance at the games will be contingent upon the formal invitation from the DoD Warrior Games organising committee and confirmation from the Australian Defence Force that Team Australia will attend.
Following the 2026 Warrior Games, the ASP will again call for applications for the 2027 ASP, which will help select the team for the next Invictus Games, set for July 2027 in Birmingham.
Applying for the most recent intake of the 2026 ASP program will be separate from the intake for the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 process.
