Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has unveiled stage one artist impressions of its US$76.4 million Barrett Manufacturing and Technology Campus in the United States.
The future-focused complex is reportedly scheduled to be built and ready to open in early 2027.
Heavy machinery is already at work on the 170-acre site at 8808 Manchester Pike to establish the global firearms manufacturing centre of excellence and the North American headquarters of parent company NIOA Group.
The first stage will feature corporate offices, research and development capabilities, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes, secure warehouse and centralised logistics spread over 250,000 square feet.
In a tribute to the company’s heritage, the muzzle-brake entry foyer was modelled on Barrett’s iconic Model 82 rifle, which is also the official state rifle of Tennessee.
The Model 82 was founder Ronnie Barrett’s first military contract back in 1989 and is now used by military and law enforcement agencies internationally.
Barrett chief executive officer Bryan James said the design reflected both the company’s forward momentum and deep respect for its past.
“When we briefed the architect, we wanted more than just a state-of-the art shiny new building; we wanted something that would remind our people, partners and community of the innovation that set us on this path while making a bold statement for the future of Tennessee manufacturing,” he said.
“We think these designs capture exactly that – a world-class, next generation facility that also symbolises the legacy that has shaped Barrett for more than four decades.
“We are proud to share these first images with our staff, customers and the community that has supported us from the beginning.”
