Uncrewed ground vehicle developer GaardTech has been announced it has been selected for Phase II of the US Army’s GroundBreaker, the Joint Unmanned Ground Vehicle demonstration.

Uncrewed ground vehicle developer GaardTech has been announced it has been selected for Phase II of the US Army’s GroundBreaker, the Joint Unmanned Ground Vehicle demonstration.

The milestone reportedly builds on a successful showing at the xTech Edge Strike event in Germany and ongoing support to US Army and the GTEAD; and a recent appearance at the Land Forces Expo 2026 in Perth, Western Australia.

In Phase II, the company’s Jaeger Alpha and Delta combat robot will be put through live operational assessments alongside US Army evaluators.

The company is thrilled to continue working with the US Army, and we look forward to supporting the US Army Drone Dominance Marketplace, putting combat proven robotic capability in the hands of the US and Allied warfighters, according to GaardTech founder and chief executive officer Steen Bisgaard.

“GaardTech is on the pathway to supplying the US DoW drone dominance program. Ground breaker ph2 is the next step in our growth and US Army support plan,” Bisgaard said.

“Well done to the GaardTech US office for the progression. GTEAD and the Drone Dominance frameworks will build significant end user access.”

Earlier this year, the company confirmed a recent contract win to supply the Australian Defence Force and a separate agreement for a supply path to the Japan Ministry of Defense.

Under that Australian contract, the company reportedly won a contract by open tender to supply GaardTech’s proprietary robotic systems to the Australian Defence Force.

Separately, the company also announced the signing of a strategic agreement with a Tier One Japanese trading house to establish a direct supply and support pathway to the Japan Ministry of Defense.
