Penske Power Systems has showcased a range of MTU engines and Allison Transmission solutions at Land Forces 2018.

Penske Power Systems’ display will include an MTU 8V199TE20 engine and an Allison Transmission 4800 cutaway, which are fitted in the Rheinmetall Boxer vehicle selected to replace the ASLAV under the LAND 400 Phase 2 project. The display will also include an MTU 6V199TE20 engine, which is fitted in the M113AS4 armoured personnel carrier.

Matt Grech, land and aero systems manager at Penske Power Systems, said, "Taking part in Land Forces provides an opportunity for us to communicate about our products, technologies and capabilities directly to our customer base and in line with existing and future business opportunities. Penske Power Systems is pleased to be exhibiting our MTU and Allison Transmission products at Land Forces this week."

Penske Power Systems, a subsidiary of Penske Automotive Group, is a leading distributor of diesel and gas engines and power systems, representing some of the most innovative and well-respected brands in the industry, including MTU and Detroit, and Allison Transmission in Australia.

"Land Forces also provides an opportunity to collaborate with prime contractors, the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), the Department of Defence, uniform and original equipment manufacturers – all within the one location, which we find invaluable," Grech explained.

Penske Power Systems offers products across the on- and off-highway markets in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific – including trucking, mining, power generation, construction, industrial, rail, marine, agriculture, oil and gas, and defence, and supports full parts and after sales service through a network of branches, field locations and dealers across the region.
