Danish defence company SH Defence has announced a new collaboration with shipbuilder Navantia Australia to advance its uncrewed landing craft concept.

Danish defence company SH Defence has announced a new collaboration with shipbuilder Navantia Australia to advance its uncrewed landing craft concept.

The autonomous, modular vessel, designed for flexible mission deployment, is envisioned to offer greater mission flexibility and operations capability.

The company is proud to announce a new collaboration with Navantia, S.A., S.M.E Australia, a leading designer and integrator of naval platforms for the Royal Australian Navy, according to SH Defence sales director Peter Liisberg.

“Our Cube Payload and Twist Lock systems are designed to revolutionise naval modularity. Working with Navantia Australia, we aim to set new benchmarks in maritime innovation,” Liisberg said.

“We appreciate this cooperation and look forward to shaping the future of naval innovation together.”

The new landing craft concept was previously displayed by Navantia Australia at the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition 2025 held in Sydney during November this year.

The concept design reportedly requires no crew to be stationed aboard the platform and allows multiple ULCs to combine as a floating bridge or landing platform.

“Navantia Australia is excited to partner with SH Defence to drive forward the next generation of modular and autonomous naval solutions,” said Israel Lozano, Navantia Australia managing director.

“This collaboration will help us deliver greater mission flexibility and operational efficiency for our customers.”
