Australian-based promoter of aviation safety, Safeskies, will host a seminar that focuses on safety agendas and issues at the upcoming Avalon International Airshow.

The seminar will feature presentations by Squadron Leader Shannon ‘Bird’ Kennedy, Executive Officer of No. 6 Squadron; Stephen Angus, executive general manager air navigation services at Airservices Australia; and Michael Linke, CEO, and Katie Jenkins, safety officer, from Recreational Aviation Australia.

SQNLDR Kennedy, who was among the first Australians to graduate as an EA-18G Growler pilot, will discuss flying jets safely, Angus will speak on the safety benefits of the new civil-military air traffic management system (CMATS), and Linke and Jenkins will jointly address what makes a successful safety management system and the human impact of fatal and serious accidents.

The Safeskies seminar will be held on the morning of 2 March.

Safeskies provides cross-fertilisation of aviation safety matters on the global stage.
