A defence technology prime has taken out data management company NetApp ANZ’s Global Systems Integrator of the Year award.

Leidos Australia took out the award at the NetApp ANZ 2017 Partner Awards ceremony in Sydney.

Now in its third year, the awards recognise seven partners that have delivered innovative cloud services, demonstrated excellence in service delivery and enabled customers to realise cost efficiencies and productivity through best practice.

Managing director of Leidos Australia Christine Zeitz said, "We are delighted to win the NetApp Global Systems Integrator of the Year award. We undertake a number of critical systems integration activities across federal government and it’s wonderful to be recognised for our work in this domain. Working alongside key partners like NetApp is critical to our business success and winning this award is testimony to that successful partnership."

Leidos Australia was congratulated by Glenn McPherson, managing director ANZ, NetApp.

“In the race towards digital transformation, businesses that put data at the centre of their organisations will win," said McPherson.

"This year we’ve really seen our partner community step up and help our customers to become data visionaries. Partners have embraced our Data Fabric approach, and have helped customers to reduce complexity, and navigate digital disruption. Together we can continue to lead the industry in 2018.”

Leidos Australia recently opened Leidos CONNECT in Canberra, a new high-tech collaboration space to facilitate innovation and collaboration among industry partners and support major government customer programs.

The company also recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Monash University to collaborate on research and development at the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering and another MoU with the University of New South Wales to collaborate on research into the development of force protection and biological security for the Australian Defence Force.
