Australian based Ocean Software has announced the appointment of a new Chief Technology Officer

Rodney Bloom, Ocean Software chief executive, said, "Ocean Software has built a strong foundation on which the team intends to base significant growth over the next few years. The strategic direction and success of the business depends on having the right leadership team in place. Adding an industry-recognised expert, Mark Palmer, to the team as CTO is a coup for Ocean Software. We look forward to leveraging his expertise to continue the upward growth trend that Ocean Software has achieved in the past few years."

Palmer said, "Ocean Software is an exciting organisation and I’m pleased to join at a time of expansion and transformation for the business. Ocean Software has already built a great reputation for the quality of its solutions for defence organisations. As the business expands its focus both at home and overseas, I’m looking forward to playing an integral role in that expansion."
