Raytheon Australia announces new graduate program

Raytheon Australia has launched a new three-year graduate program for undergraduate university students, with applications now open.

Raytheon Australia has launched a new three-year graduate program for undergraduate university students, with applications now open.

Called GradX, the initiative will initially select 10 top students from varying disciplines at universities across Australia, and during their final year at university, the students will be assigned a senior Raytheon Australia mentor, receive a cash bonus of $5,000 and be offered paid internships.

Following the completion of their degree and their first year of the GradX program, participants will be guaranteed a full-time position with Raytheon Australia, with tailored development opportunities to advance their individual professional, technical and leadership skills.

"Our new GradX initiative is more than just a traditional graduate program. We are providing students with advanced entry into the defence industry – while also designing a unique early career path specifically tailored for each graduate,” said Raytheon Australia managing director Michael Ward.

“At its core, GradX aims to attract the nation’s next generation of top talent into the defence industry and grow this skilled workforce to benefit the entire defence ecosystem in which we operate. We are building our pipeline of future leaders now – those students who are at the start of their careers and ready to join our mission to support the Australian Defence Force.”

From today, Raytheon will accept applications from across Australia, from engineers to supply chain specialists and well as financial analysts, with over 1,000 undergraduates expected to apply.

Applications close on 8 November 2019.
