So far, it is expected that the joint venture will collaborate on green energy, Industry 4.0 and drone technology.

In the green energy space, the venture is expected to focus on technologies regarding energy production, use and storage.

Regarding Industry 4.0, a release from IAI indicated that the pair will concentrate on machine-to-machine communication, and automation across; production lines, IoT deployments, and monitoring and control.

Meanwhile, the pair are further expected to specialise in the command and control of commercial drones in urban areas as well as training for operators.

“We are excited to form this partnership with SixAI. Our collaboration is part of IAI's new strategic roadmap of leveraging technologies and R&D capabilities to create dual-use technologies for commercial implementation,” Boaz Levy, IAI president and chief executive, said.

“IAI's military technologies have contributed significantly to the security of the State of Israel, but have also been a source of technology diffusion that benefited the civilian market, as seen in recent deployments in the fields of agriculture, mining, cyber security, and medicine."

Ran Poliakine, founder and board member at SixAI, said, "SixAI's partnership with IAI will help project the capabilities of the Israeli technological know-how beyond military and homeland security.

I look forward to collaborating with IAI, an organisation, which is a true inspiration, at the forefront of global innovation.”
