Lockheed Martin teams up with Conscia for GWEO

Lockheed Martin Australia confirmed that it has partnered with infrastructure advisory firm Conscia for the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise.

Lockheed Martin Australia confirmed that it has partnered with infrastructure advisory firm Conscia for the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise.

Under the partnership, Conscia has been selected as a strategic in-country business partner helping Lockheed Martin Australia plan for future opportunities as part of the GWEO Enterprise.

With a legacy in planning, delivering and accrediting defence-related facilities, it is expected that Conscia will support the prime with identifying locations for central manufacturing.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Conscia, an Australian veteran-owned business with deep expertise in the planning, delivery and accreditation of facilities and infrastructure,” James Heading, director of programs, strategic capabilities office, missiles and fire control, said.

“In consideration is the transfer of significant technology in critical capability areas — accelerating the development of advanced guided weapon manufacturing in Australia.”

Brendan Bilston, chairman and executive director at Conscia, welcomed the opportunity to partner with the prime.

“The team is eager to contribute to the development of Lockheed Martin’s advanced production facilities in Australia,” Bilston said.

“This partnership with Lockheed Martin Australia enables us to further build on our Defence infrastructure capabilities while supporting the realisation of a guided weapons and explosive ordnance enterprise for Australia.”
