Under the deal, Poland has requested 48 Patriot M903 Launch Stations, 644 Patriot Advanced Capability 3 Missile Segment Enhanced missiles, 48 Launcher Interface Network Kits, 12 lower tier air and missile defense sensors, and 12 Large Tactical Power Systems.

The possible sale also includes communications equipment, support and repair parts, field office support, and training.

“This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a NATO ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe,” the DSCA statement said.

“The proposed sale will improve Poland’s missile defence capability and contribute to Poland’s military goals of updating capability while further enhancing interoperability with the United States and other allies.”

Raytheon Corporation and Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control have been selected as the principal contractors and the sale will require around 40 US government and 45 contractor representatives to travel to Poland for an extended period.
