Elbit Systems of Australia has appointed a new non-executive board member, in the latest management change for the company.

Elbit Systems of Australia has appointed a new non-executive board member, in the latest management change for the company.

Retired Air Vice-Marshal Kym Osley, AM, CSC, has been appointed as a non-executive board member of Elbit Systems of Australia (ELSA) in the latest management change for the company.

The tech company announced the reorganisation after recording a successful transformation to strengthen its governance, engineering, IT infrastructure, and security.

ELSA is also in the process of selecting a chief executive officer following the departure of former managing director Paul McLachlan, AO, CSC, in December last year.

Executive chair Dr Karen Stanton said she was pleased to announce the new appointment to the  ELSA board.

“Kym is a valuable addition to ELSA’s board due to more than three decades’ service in senior positions in the RAAF and his valuable experience in the private sector following his ADF career,” Dr  Stanton said.

“Kym is highly regarded for his work throughout the government, the private sector and defence industry, which will inject the ELSA board with the right mix of skills and experience to provide guidance and oversight as we focus on growing the Australian business.

“The transformation and reorganisation of the Australian business enables us to access a wider cross-section of Elbit’s product portfolio, placing us in a better position to meet the challenges and opportunities of future programs within the defence industry.”

Osley’s other board appointments include non-executive director of Quickstep Technologies, member of LeoLabs Australia Strategic Advisory Board, chair of the Australian Air Force Cadet Foundation, and non-executive director of PWR Technologies.

Osley will work with the other board members: Dr Karen Stanton, Major General (Ret’d) Roger Powell AM, Haim Delmar, and Yossi Gaspar.
