Serco Australia recognised as Naval Business of the Year

The essential services provider has been named the Naval Business of the Year at Defence Connect’s 2020 Australian Defence Industry Awards.

The essential services provider has been named the Naval Business of the Year at Defence Connect’s 2020 Australian Defence Industry Awards.

Defence Connect hosted its second annual 2020 Australian Defence Industry Awards on Thursday, 26 November.

The awards ceremony — hosted virtually across the nation and in live venues across Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane — recognised leading stakeholders and key enablers in the defence industry ecosystem.

 
 

Serco Defence was among the stakeholders recognised, winning the award for Naval Business of the Year for its long-standing support for the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy.

“We are honoured to be recognised in the 2020 Australian Defence Industry Awards, which are the benchmark for excellence in the defence industry – something we strive for every day at Serco,” Serco Defence managing director Clint Thomas, AM, CSC, said

“This accolade is a testament to Serco’s experience, proven record and commitment. I am extremely proud of our professional teams who made winning this award possible.”

Serco was among a host of stakeholders to take the top prize across 35 unique categories.
