As part of the review, the independent adviser is seeking feedback from stakeholders, including those in the defence industry, on their experiences with the process to identify opportunities to improve the MSP panel and support the realisation of MSP panel objectives.

After consulting with stakeholders, the independent adviser is expected to produce a report with a list of recommendations for CASG to consider.

CASG has partnered with industry stakeholders capable of delivering larger, long-term, integrated work packages across CASG, with Defence entering into Enterprise Support Services Agreements with four consortia (comprising 13 companies in total):

• Jacobs Beca Team: Jacobs Australia and Beca Consultants;
• Team Nova: Nova Systems Australia, QinetiQ, and PricewaterhouseCoopers;
• KEY Team: Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) and Ernst and Young (EY); and
• Team Downer: Downer EDI Engineering Power, AGIS Group, DXC Technology Australia, Systra Scott Lister Australia, Envista, and Providence Consulting Group.

The MSP arrangements were intended to provide Defence with an efficient and streamlined process to access service providers, particularly SMEs, to facilitate the procurement of a broad range of services to support the acquisition and sustainment of Defence’s capital equipment and system projects.
