The app includes information about the AMV35's capabilities, including its survivability, lethality, agility and mobility, as well as precise vehicle performance specifications.
BAES Australia said the aim of the app is to share information about the AMV35 with people who have an interest in LAND 400 so that they can easily find the information they need.
The company anticipates interested users to be potential future users of the AMV, military/defence enthusiasts and Australian SMEs seeking information about potential manufacturing and sustainment opportunities.
BAES Australia has offered the AMV35 – Patria’s modern, agile, highly protected military-off-the-shelf Armoured Modular Vehicle, integrated with the combat-proven E35 turret from BAE Systems Hägglunds – for Phase 2 of the Commonwealth’s LAND 400 program.
BAES Australia LAND 400 campaign lead Brian Gathright said, "As LAND 400 is a competition of ideas and not just vehicles, sharing our ideas about how to fully meet and exceed the ADF’s requirements via a mobile app, is an innovative and agile approach.
"We invite our teaming partners, ADF personnel and representatives of our 1,600-strong supply chain to download the app, engage with the content and provide feedback, either about the AMV35 or more broadly about LAND 400."
The app, which BAES Australia said will be regularly updated with content, can be accessed here.
